Rambod uses the FST-7 method of training for all his bodybuilding athletes, including Chris Bumstead. The two worked together for Bumstead?s fourth Olympia, as well as the fifth one. Both of these competitions were successfully won by Bumstead. Even after having an autoimmune disease that affects his kidney and going through an injury just ten days before his fifth Olympia, Bumstead had the best conditioning and the most chiseled muscles anyone has seen on stage. Even veteran bodybuilders believed that he would win, with many even expecting him to go to the open division in the future. However, some even speculate that he might retire.

Possibility of retirement and CBum going to the Open Division?

Bodybuilding coach Greg Doucette recently made a video where he revealed that Chris Bumstead might retire after the 2023 competitions. This is also because Bumstead hinted at this previously through an Instagram post. In the YouTube video, Doucette highlighted the challenges that CBum had to face before his fifth Olympia win.?

During the recent competition, Bumstead had another setback where he injured his lat and could not exercise his back muscles for almost one month before the competition. He also said,?“I feel like every time it’s his hardest but the question is is he now going to retire I feel like he is going to retire they didn’t even want to ask him this time he was saying you know this was special it was the most special.”

Doucette also clear the fact that since Bumstead has an autoimmune disease and has gone through a lot of injuries, his muscles are mostly natural, and he does not take a lot of performance-enhancing drugs. According to the coach, even if the fans want to see him in the open division, it might take a toll on his body, and this might be expecting too much from the bodybuilding champion.

However, this is all speculation of all the bodybuilding coaches and veterans. During an interview at Mr. Olympia, when CBum was was asked about his decision to change divisions in bodybuilding competition, he simply stated, ?I?m right where I belong.? He truly knows what he?s talking about as just days after the Olympia, Bumstead revealed the news about him going to become a father soon with his fianc? Courtney.
