During the interview, Chris Wallace asked the 75-year-old, “You were quoted recently as saying that heaven is a fantasy and that you hate the idea of dying?” The reporter questioned if that was because death was a part of life even “Arnold Schwarzenegger cannot control.” However, the bodybuilding legend immediately said that he had been misquoted.

“I did not say that heaven is a fantasy,” said the former Mr. Olympia. However, the Hollywood superstar explained he didn’t agree with the context heaven is talked about. Arnie said it won’t be like the living world, that he and the host would meet and have interviews in heaven. In fact, he didn’t like accepting any of it. “I hate the idea of getting old, and I hate the idea of dying,” said Arnie.

The 75-year-old also explained the reason behind his belief. “I mean, look at the life I’ve had,” said the bodybuilding legend. From winning seven Mr. Olympias and five Mr. Universes to Hollywood, and politics, the Austrian Oak has done it all. “Eventually, it will end? I mean, what the f**k? It’s not my style,” Arnie told Wallace. Though Schwarzenegger did not talk about how he constantly scrutinized his physique despite earning all the titles, in the interview, he did so in his documentary.

Schwarzenegger’s constant hunger to achieve perfection

Despite people hailing him for having arguably the greatest physique in the history of bodybuilding, Arnold Schwarzenegger felt differently. In his recently released Netflix docu-series, Arnold, the bodybuilding icon revealed he always chases after perfection. Despite training and improving, the Austrian criticized himself in front of the mirror.

During the Chris Wallace interview, Schwarzenegger said if he felt that way in his prime, Wallace could imagine how he feels at 75.
