PEDs are all the rage in bodybuilding, and veteran athletes have been using them for long. However, it is not always good in too much of an amount. Cory Hageman, IFBB Bikini pro winner and coach, spoke about it recently at a podcast, and she said something eye-opening.

Hageman spoke about the usage of PEDs and whether those drugs are actually needed, especially for women in the profession. Let’s see what she had to say.

She was speaking about the adverse effects of ste**ids, and women in the bodybuilding industry are getting more aware of this. She said that most people are made to believe that PEDs will help enhance the muscles more than exercise and diet, and now this stereotype is breaking.

She said, “Why do so many women who even talk about it say Anavar is a fat burner…” She also questioned the drug they think is helping: “What if the solution isn’t that drug?” She said maybe the timeline, dietary planning, and exercise are not proper, so there is no muscle development.

Rather than the ster**ds, she emphasizes more on diet and proper exercises. There have been other veteran bodybuilders, such as Dorian Yates and Flex Wheeler.

Dorian Yates asked the main question

He disclosed in a video that his favorite muscle-increasing foods are “eggs, beef, chicken, and supplements.” He also said, “Let’s say 30-40 percent maybe….it’s gonna make a big difference, let’s not be…uh…make a mistake about that.” This is about steroids, which he did not dismiss but said not to rely on entirely.

“Whatever percent it is, it applies to everybody, so if it makes 30 percent difference, it makes 30 percent difference to everybody…so whoever’s the best is still would be the best,” said Yates. He also noted that ultimately, using such compounds does not matter, and the food matters more.
