The woman gives in to slap his hand as he raises it a bit above for the next high-five. Ultimately makes her jump to give him a high five by raising his palm to the height of the rod. This way the woman was now able to jump high and cling to the rod before proceeding with her pull-ups.
Joey Swoll said that the clip is the best example of gym positivity. “For a lot of you out there who have a lot of anxiety, a lot of fear of going to the gym because you think it is full of bullies, people are going to judge you. To help you see that is the farthest thing from the truth, ” he says in the video after the clip.
“Most people in the gym are just like this man, and this is what the gym community is truly about. Thank you that man for helping that young woman and demonstrating what true gym culture is! ” Swoll continues before appreciating the girl’s determination toward the end of the video. “This is what the gym community is all about,” he captioned the video.
