Hafthor Bjornsson is famous for his strength in the Strongman community. Movie lovers will know him as The Mountain in Game of Thrones. But his fans love him for his insane stunts at the gym. However, there had been a gap in the 34-year-old’s mind-numbing lifts because of a health disaster.

After suffering a major pectoral tear earlier this year, Thor appears to have recovered from the bad phase and is trying to build his strength back. He recently tried another stunt at the gym like a pro.

The Strongman competition demands the participants to perform otherworldly feats. They have to throw logs, pull trucks, and carry heavy stones apart from the heavy deadlifts and squats. To be able to show beast-like strength, the Strongman participants have to follow an extremely intense regimen at the gym. Despite the risk of injury, Strongman champions like Bjornsson push towards their goal.

As a part of his quest to outperform himself, the Hall of Famer Strongman tried his hands at a 556 lbs bench press in April. Unfortunately, he suffered a major pec tear in the process, and the clip went viral instantly. His fans poured their love and prayers through comments for the speedy recovery of The Mountain. Months after the injury, the 6’9″ giant is once again impressing his fans with a massive deadlift.

The 34-year-old posted an Instagram clip where he was seen deadlifting 507 lbs. He captioned the post, “Easy 230kg 4 reps 3 sets powered by @thebeardstruggle,” promoting a beard products brand. A month earlier, the Strongman updated about his recovery from the injury he sustained in April.

The Mountain’s update on his recovery journey

After sustaining a pectoral tear, many expected Bjornsson to be away from the gym for a while. But the Mountain had other plans. During the surgery and subsequent recovery period, the Strongman didn’t quit his training sessions and posted his workout videos online.  However, he refrained from upper-body workouts.

Feeling strong and so fu**ing big.” He further added that he had started deadlifting some light weights and is heading in the “right direction.” A month passed by, and he was already trying some insane stunts.
