Even years after the tragedy, people are still infuriated as well as disturbed by the violence and trouble caused. Taking a look back at the same, bodybuilding legend, Ronnie Coleman posted an Instagram post recently.
Despite the traumatic experience of the terror attack, individuals found the strength to gather their courage and resume work the next day. Eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman recently posted an Instagram post of himself waving the American flag at a bodybuilding show days after the miserable event. As Coleman posted this throwback image on September 11, 2023, he paid his tribute to the fallen soldiers.

The image posted by Coleman on his Instagram consists of him waving the American Flag just days after the 9/11 terror attack. Coleman also disclosed in the caption that when he brought the flag on stage, the crowd’s energy was unmatchable. As he paid tributes to the men and women who lost their lives on this unfortunate day, the image portrayed the profound message of resilience and patriotism as well.

Coleman wrote, “We Will Never Forget 9/11. I can still remember walking out on the Mr. Olympia stage in 2001 just after 9/11 and feeling the energy from the crowd when I waved the American Flag!!” Continuing further, ‘King’ stated, “Today we honor the brave men and women who lost their lives 22 years ago…gone but never forgotten!!”
Coleman’s love for the country is unparalleled. While many people still remember Coleman as just a bodybuilder, a lesser-known fact is that Ronnie used to be a policeman in Arlington, Texas.
Ronnie Coleman’s time as a police officer
Coleman has been open about his career as a police officer. Although he had been lifting weights since his teenage years, he was never quite sure about pursuing a career in bodybuilding. However, his dedication was such that he used to carry his protein, meals, and every important item with him to his station. Looking at his determination, his chief was also supportive of him. Coleman even stepped on the Mr. Olympia stage several times while working for the police force.

Eventually, he realized that he wouldn’t be able to give his best unless he quit his job. He quoted, “I’m like, man, I can’t be working all the time and prepare for Mr. Olympia.” So eventually took a tough call. He revealed, “So I had to quit about, I think, in my fifth or sixth Olympia.” Being in the force himself, Coleman has a fair idea of what the police and the army go through.
