While the adrenaline that we get while training can be fun indeed, there is no denying that the gym can prove to be one of the most dreadful places if not taken seriously. There are certain points to keep in mind when training, and if even one of them is not ensured, you can suffer a great deal of damage, just like this lady recently did. 

In a recent Instagram post uploaded by a fitness and CrossFit-related page, a lady can be seen squatting an impressive 242 lbs. While the lift in itself looked pretty good initially, the shock comes much later when her hair gets stuck under the bar. The bodybuilding community reacted and gave their honest views on the same in the comments.

Squatting with the perfect form, the woman suffered the wrath of not training carefully after she got pinned down by the bar. Luckily, she had safety bars on, which prevented the incident from turning even uglier. The caption of the post simply read, “Watch your hair ladies.”

Squat is one of the most dangerous movements if not attempted with proper care. It is always wise to tie your hair and have safety bars in place to prevent injuries and unfortunate events. One of the users commented on the post stating, “STOP BACK SQUATTING WITH YOUR HAIR HANGING DOWN YOUR BACK. F**k. it’s like these girls have no common sense and don’t watch anything on social media,” while another user pointed out, “Never back squat with hair down. NEVAH.”

“Eyes covered and hair being pulled… looks like a romantic Saturday night after a nice steak dinner and wine,” read another comment. Revealing her own preferences, another viewer disclosed, “I usually put a bun in but had a pony tail.. and nice big chunk of hair left on the barbell,” while another woman admitted, “Exactly why I don’t wear my hair down or in a ponytail. Lol ouch! We go to the gym to be strong not look cute.”
