Four-time Mr. Olympia title winner Jay Cutler has been an inspiration for bodybuilders worldwide. He won this prestigious title in four consecutive years, i.e., 2006, 2007, 2009, and 2010. American bodybuilder professional participated in Gold’s Gym Worcester Bodybuilding Championships in 1992 and began his flourishing career. He established his career by winning the 1993 Iron Bodies Invitational 1993.

Cutler has been active in the bodybuilding profession for almost three decades and is now 50. He discusses his struggles to maintain his muscular physique in a recent interview with Maxx Chewning.

Unarguably, the bodybuilding profession demands discipline, extremely hard work, and dedication. However, it becomes challenging to follow the same principles once you hit a certain age. It is also the case of Jay Cutler who is now enjoying his retirement. Cutler reveals that he still works hard and follows a strict diet regime to maintain his muscular physique.

He speaks about establishing a fitness supplement empire post-retirement which benefits him enormously. In the interview, he also discusses how the gym is not about dumbbells and barbells anymore and says, “There are lots of variations.”  He agrees that the body experiences wear and tear when it reaches an age.

Jay Cutler outlines his schedule while speaking about his life post-retirement in the interview. He mentions how maintaining a muscular body shape at this age requires immense motivation and strength. Furthermore, he confesses that he works hard to maintain his bodybuilding image for future generations.

Cutler is aware of the hardships he faced due to age and says, “We cannot beat the age.” Moreover, when Chewning asked about weight lifting he replied, “I’ve gone back and forth, I did arms together, I did chest and triceps. But now I do shoulders and triceps. And ask me why I skip arm training, where I train most of the body parts together like legs. I hate arms. For my first-time viewers, I hate training arms.”

Jay Cutler is featured in globally popular magazines, such as Muscular Development, Muscle and Fitness, and Flex. He made his name in the industry despite being in a tough competition with Ronnie Coleman. Cutler continues to be a role model for bodybuilding enthusiasts.
