Intuitive eating is a modern-era non-dieting approach that encourages eating whenever you feel physically hungry. However, the IFBB pro-Marc Lobliner challenged the concept of intuitive eating. He has different thoughts about this, and he pointed out that we’re intuitively eating and getting intuitively fat.
In a recent YouTube video on the YouTube channel Tiger Fitness, the 43-year-old pro shared his new method of gaining and losing fat, calling it protein leveraging. He explained that you can gain and lose weight just by making protein the cornerstone of every meal and tracking the macros with it.

“You eat a lot of chicken or beef or fish or whatever, and you load up on protein because protein has more of an anorectic effect.” The IFBB Pro explained the anorectic effect of protein, which means suppressing your appetite. He explained that proteins have fewer calories than fats, so by eating more protein and less fat, you get more volume of food. Additionally, he talked about amino acids having acute insulin spikes compared to carbohydrates that have biphasic insulin spikes, causing hunger issues and cravings.
He further emphasized starting your meal with protein and filling yourself up with protein. Afterward, have some rice or anything that suits you. The Pro said,” If I were doing the protein leveraging, I would have protein and veggies.” He added that you are allowed to have snacks or desserts, but you cannot make a habit out of this. This allows you to stay healthy and reach your fitness goal.
He then explained that no one gets fat eating veggies, fruits, and farm products; people get fat from ultra-processed, calorically dense foods. The IFBB Pro made a funny remark about sumo wrestlers getting fat from eating rice. Lobliner mentioned that you can gain and lose weight on the same food, like beef and rice, just by adjusting the quantities. You can cut the amount of rice you need to cut your calories, and you can also cut your calories as you like by switching foods, and that’s how dieting works, according to the Lobliner. Like this, the IFBB Pro also explained how creatine is important for everyone.

He highlighted the fact that creatine is not just for sportspeople but for everyone, including kids and the elderly. Lobliner mentioned that creatine can help increase thinking skills and may prevent diseases like Alzheimer’s.
He also highlighted the common doubts people have about using creatine, like water retention and kidney issues, adding that research shows these concerns are not a big deal. He pointed out that creatine is cheaper than any other supplements, and anyone can easily afford it.
