After making a name for himself in the realm of bodybuilding, Arnold Schwarzenegger competed for the last time in 1980 at the Mr. Olympia. There he won his seventh title, before announcing his retirement. His retirement, however, marked a new life for him as he completely switched to showbiz and went on to star in some of Hollywood’s best movies ever. One of the most iconic movie franchises that he was a part of was ‘Conan the Barbarian’.

With the purpose of promoting the second film in line, ‘Conan the Destroyer,’ Schwarzenegger was featured on an episode of the super popular TV show, ‘Late Night with David Letterman.’ Amidst many other topics that the duo discussed, Arnold also revealed a specific incident that could have landed the whole cast of the movie in prison. However, things went just fine and there were no serious consequences – but it made for one marvelous tale.

With the purpose of shooting for the movie, the whole cast and crew had to travel to Mexico. There are multiple hassles that a production crew goes through while shooting at a foreign location. But the team faced some extra trouble because of an incident that caught the attention of the Mexican Police. Arnold explained in the resurfaced video that media persons surrounded them almost all the time, which became a bit irritating after a while. As a result of this, one of the members of their team pulled down his pants in front of a lady from the press who was clicking their pictures.

While Schwarzenegger certainly did not condone the incident he described, he jokingly stated, “They say that it is against the law in Mexico to run around naked. I mean can you believe that?” He continued by revealing, “We almost got into jail… because of this little episode… just got too much for the Mexican people.”

During the interview, Letterman and Arnold also talked about co-star Grace Jones. However, Arnold restricted himself from giving the details about the supermodel.

Arnold talked about co-star Grace Jones

Grace Jones played the role of Zula in the movie. While discussing Jones, Schwarzenegger openly stated that she was a bit difficult to control on the sets. One of the reasons behind this was that she unintentionally ended up hitting someone or the other. Schwarzenegger revealed that during the whole shoot, Jones ended up sending twelve people from the crew to the hospital.

However, ‘Arnie’ strictly held himself back from revealing too much. When Letterman prompted him to share more stories, Schwarzenegger had a cheeky response, “Well, first of all, most of the things I cannot say on air that happened because she’s too wild”.
