Appearing as a guest in the recent episode of Flex Lewis’ podcast, Straight Outta Lair, Anthony Lopez talked about his journey as a bodybuilder. When Lewis asked him about his condition and when he became obese, Lopez replied, “I’ve been overweight since I came out of the womb.”

According to Lopez, he was a big baby from birth, and the fact that he and his mother would survive mostly on junk food, added to his misery. This apparently was one of the reasons why his entire family was overweight. Although, he did see the funny side of things and joked, “I set the bar of the weight in my family.”

He then came down to 260 lbs and set a goal to get down to 210 lbs. And well, looks like it worked out pretty well for him. He finally points out that the two main keys to achieving your goal are consistency and dedication, and the rest eventually falls into place. He added, “I had to fix years of bad habits, years of using food as a crutch losing over 100 pounds, then using the sleeve as a tool. I’m busting my bu*t daily in and out of the gym to show that it’s never too late to fix a problem you caused.”

As Lopez continues his journey, he serves as a reminder that is never too late to start on the path towards fitness. What do you think about his journey so far? Let us know in the comments below.
