The ‘Sultan Of Symmetry’ Kenneth ?Flex? Wheeler started his bodybuilding journey in California as a skinny teenager who practiced Martial arts. He grew up ambitious and hard-working, which was indicative of the future Hall of Fame that he would be receiving later in life.

The IFBB Pro competed in 32 contests and went through over 40 surgeries in his life, but never gave up. Even with amputation in 2019 due to circulatory vascular system problems in his right leg, the four-time Arnold Classic winner shared an Instagram post recently where he reminisced about his old days as a bodybuilder and finally revealed what bodybuilding means to him.

The Instagram post was a picture where young Wheeler was standing proudly inside a pristine white museum, and he looks nothing short of a sculpture himself. Every muscle in his body was chiseled and flexed, glistening in the sunlight. The 57-year-old reminisced about his glory days with this throwback picture and revealed his idea of bodybuilding. The man who could do martial arts and bodybuilding, is now an Arnold Classic Lifetime Achievement Award winner, which he received at the 35th annual Arnold Sports Festival.

The post was an example of his immense dedication to the craft and he finally wrote about what bodybuilding meant in his life. ?It was never a sport to me. it was always a way of life for me. it?s an art form ?? color me bad ??.? For the ‘Sultan of Symmetry’, bodybuilding is not a sport but an art form.

Wheeler could do a full split on stage while showing off his herculean physique and impressed the judges every time. Since he knows Kemp-Kwon-Do which is a martial art, he has said before that bodybuilding is also an art for him like Kemp-Kwon-Do. Wheeler’s Instagram post is evidence of why he won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Arnold Classic 2023.

Arnold Schwarzenegger gives Flex Wheeler praise

The Arnold Classic never fails to recognize?the truly talented and outstanding efforts of bodybuilders who have made bodybuilding a sport. The Arnold Classic community felicitated Flex Wheeler with the honor of a Lifetime Achievement Award. He got the award from none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The Austrian Oak said some beautiful words for Wheeler: ?I told him many times, I mean, he won four Arnold Classics, and they always considered you one of the greatest champions of all time.? Arnie also said that Wheeler promoted the sport and increased its fame around the world. ?The way you?ve promoted the sport of bodybuilding you?ve done an extraordinary job, and that?s why you get this Lifetime Achievement Award,? Arnold said before giving him a warm hug and presenting the crystal award.

Flex Wheeler will always remain the biggest name in bodybuilding because, despite the huge odds he faced in life, he never lost his motivation.
