The four times winner of the Olympia Classic Physique, Chris Bumstead, reminds fans of the golden era of bodybuilding. The classic division focuses on symmetry and proportions, exemplified by legendary bodybuilders Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno.

In contrast, the mass monster years of bodybuilding embodied by none other than the great Ronnie Coleman focused on massive proportions, often delivering a shock value to the fitness community. Recently Bumstead appeared in a podcast to talk about various aspects of bodybuilding. While highlighting differences in the open category and classic division, Bumstead referred to Ronnie Coleman’s claim for “zero” body fat percentage. The King’s assertion had left the bodybuilding world surprised, including Joe Rogan. Cbum believes Coleman was just messing around!

In the podcast “The Mindset & Motivation Secrets Of 4X Mr. Olympia, Modern Wisdom 652,” Chris Bumstead revealed what his routine might look like if he were to prepare for the open division of Mr. Olympia. He informed the host, Chris Williamson, that while he currently takes a break of 3 months, he would have to cut down that break and focus on putting fat during the off-season to achieve mass and be “freaky”.

The Canadian IFBB pro referred to an incident in 2020, where Coleman appeared in a podcast hosted by American UFC commentator Joe Rogan and revealed his jacked physique is due to his extremely low-fat percentage. Explaining the situation, Bumstead added, “Ronnie Coleman came out and said he was like zero percent or something and people were like I don’t think that’s possible if I had to guess I think it would be like four I think it was just f**** around but people took it seriously .”

Referring to his levels, Bumstead added, “I think I would be around four or five if I had to like be conservative and to get into the open category.”While Coleman may not be at 0.33 body fat percentage, he is arguably one of the best bodybuilders of this generation.
