Schwarzenegger revealed that he is often asked about the bond that he had with his competitors. People often cannot digest and understand what went on behind the stage. Even though Arnold and the likes of Lou Ferrigno, Frank Zane, and others had to compete against each other at the end of the year, they used to train together at the Gold’s Gym in Venice. In his documentary, Arnold even revealed that the group even used to eat and hang out together most of the time.

“As I watched this inspirational demonstration of sportsmanship, I thought about how often people ask me how all of us bodybuilders could train and practice posing together at Gold’s Gym all year when we’d have to face each other on stage.” As a response to this, Schwarzenegger disclosed that while not everyone can be a champion, everyone can win if they work on themselves and learn to inspire others.
