If it wasn’t for Iain Valliere’s keen eyes recognizing the potential in Chris Bumstead, the bodybuilding world would have missed out on the excellence that CBum went on to portray. On the other hand, many have talked about the fact that Valliere had himself tried his best to coach CBum while focusing less on his own career. When CBum himself understood it, they ended the coach-trainee relationship so that Valliere could pay more attention to his career. However, the latter announced his retirement only months later.

When Valliere was later asked to speak on the reasons for his retirement, the bodybuilder had some things to say. Including the fact that his diet routine and timing were being shifted late in the day and he was not able to keep it in control. As Valliere understood how unhealthy his lifestyle was, the bodybuilder decided to leave the sport. However, recently the former bodybuilder has suggested at the possibility of him almost wanting to make a comeback.

The bodybuilder looked at the gym from the perspective of how it was something made for competitive bodybuilders rather than for those simply into bettering their fitness levels.  He also revealed that his training session almost made him wish for something astonishing. Valliere said, “This is a bodybuilder’s gym through and through. So hardcore it made me almost wanna have a comeback.”

Choosing to retire from the sport was not a decision Iain Valliere made in a split second. Earlier, he had revealed how he thought of it for a year and that the few months before his announcement were unbearably anxious for him.

Valliere revealed before how his eating schedule was in shambles. Going to a competition always required him to be meticulous about his diet, yet the bodybuilder identified how eating for a show was quite troublesome for him as it gave him much anxiety. He stated, “My ability to kind of, you know, get my meals in a timely fashion which might be getting me anxious in terms of like am I going to you know be like an hour late for my meal and then it’s going to push back to next hour.”

In fact, the bodybuilder also reflected how he feels more relieved in that aspect now that he has retired from the sport. Valliere confessed, “I’m going to be stuffing them together. I’m going to be freaking stuffed and or I’m going to be up till 3:00 in the morning getting food in um you know that’s definitely the biggest initial relief is just the food aspect for sure.”
