Joey Swoll is the face of gym positivity and the bodybuilding influencer and businessman always corrects bad gym behavior. The man who learned kindness from his mother’s selfless act is now an advocate for eradicating toxic gym culture. He makes frequent videos calling out people who make fun of others at the gym and the latest one can hit a nerve with other people as well.

In the recent video, Swoll gets frustrated over a woman posting about another individual and making fun of their disease. Swoll is absolutely unhappy about it and has shared his opinion on the same. What could have gone wrong to have triggered Swoll?

The video was shared on TikTok by Marymerkems who knew that it was not the right thing to do. This is because she captioned the video saying, “Please don’t come for me.” This means she knew the consequences of uploading the video and the content was not something to make fun of.

The video showed a person with highly swollen feet. The person was also having problems fitting into their flip-flops due to how swollen their feet were. However, the woman who uploaded the video was making fun of the individual who did not even know her video was being taken. 

Replying to this behavior, Swoll commented, “Taking a video of somebody with a medical condition like lymphedema to post on social media and make fun of them? Really? Shame on you and every single person that liked that video.” Lymphedema can be caused due to lymphatic system blockage which happens due to lymph node removal or due to cancer treatment. So clearly, the woman did an insensitive action from her side.

She also justified her actions by doing another TikTok where she said, “Hey guys, I just wanted to come out here and say that I knew that video was going to go viral, especially with that sound. But this is what TikTok is for.” The woman also added that it was all in jest and not meant seriously. Swoll shared this clip in the video and was infuriated. He replied, “This is not what TikTok is for  and videos like this are the cancer of social media.” Lastly, he reprimanded her actions and said his signature line, “You need to do better.” Swoll generally keeps his calm while calling people out but in one instance he lost all his patience.

In a previous video, he spoke about a person named Tyler Bartlett. This individual shared a picture from the gym’s changing room. Tyler clicked the video inside the changing room of the gym while there was a man completely naked behind him.

Swoll saw that post on social media and could not stop himself from commenting on it. He was extremely infuriated and even used foul language which he apologized for. He stated, “Pardon my language, but what the f**k is wrong with you? When is this nonsense going to end? There is nothing funny about this.”

The CEO of gym positivity informed the people on social media that these kinds of actions were not only disrespectful, but they were also illegal.
