Even though he registered his name in the history textbooks, the only man whom he could not beat on the Olympia stage was eight times Mr. Olympia Lee Haney.

Sharing his secret, Gaspari talked about the importance of different elements that are essential in a bodybuilder’s life. 

Rich Gaspari opens up about the success mantra behind a good bodybuilder

Bodybuilding veteran Rich Gaspari shared his secret mantra in his recent Instagram video in which he talked in detail about the elements that an athlete needs to nail before stepping on a bodybuilding stage. Starting the video, Gaspari stated, “Only one man has stood in front of me. And that was Lee and he was an eight-time Mr. Olympia.“ Continuing further, he said, “The reason why I was able to beat a lot of these guys that had superior genetics was the compound effect.”

 

Talking about nutrition, Gaspari revealed that a low-carb diet never seemed to work for him. This is why he relied on a high-protein, moderate-carb, and low-fat diet. He admitted, “Nutrition was a big part of my success.” He further continued by explaining that, “Posing is a big aspect of bodybuilding that a lot of bodybuilders neglect.”

Gaspari emphasizes the importance of a good presentation as well

Being a bodybuilder veteran and a crucial part of IFBB himself, Gaspari realizes the importance of good presentation skills. He explained that having a perfect tan on your body and having clear skin, a good haircut, etc. also plays a huge role in how well the judges will score an athlete.

“Other aspects are making sure you have a perfect tan. Even making sure you had a good haircut so that you looked really good. All these aspects of getting ready for a show when you combine them all can make a great bodybuilder,” Gaspari revealed.
