Chris Bumstead is one of the most decorated athletes in the modern era of bodybuilding and has achieved several accolades to solidify his position. His trainer-turned-brother-in-law was an unmatchable support system in his professional career before they parted ways and he started getting trained under the 22x Olympia-winning coach.

Iain Valliere recently retired from the professional realms of the sport, prioritizing his happiness over everything else. The retirement saddened Bumstead, but he was also very proud of everything Valliere had achieved despite not having a great genetics game. Displaying the love they had for each other, Valliere recently went on to talk about CBum in a video.

Iain Valliere, who retired from bodybuilding right before the Mr. Olympia championship this year, took to his official YouTube channel and answered intriguing questions from his fans. As the video progressed, one of his followers asked him if he had any intentions of going back to coach Chris Bumstead, given that they were both no longer competing.

To that, he said that he would not, going on to compliment how perfect Bumstead’s new coach Haney Rambod was. He further goes on to add how he has been doing an amazing job supporting the legendary bodybuilder. But, according to Iain Valliere, Bumstead is genetically gifted, and that gives him the perfect edge.

He said, “Chris is a very genetically gifted human”. He even added how amazingly conditioned he is, and winning for him was simply a cakewalk. Well, it truly is rather unfathomable to imagine why the two legendary bodybuilders, despite having so much respect for one another, parted ways.

Why did Chris Bumstead leave Iain Valliere?

Although Iain Valliere was the best trainer Chris Bumstead ever had, with the amalgamation of affection and respect he had for him, the reigning Mr. Olympia had to leave training under him before the 2022 Mr. Olympia. With both of them participating in the competition, Valliere simply did not have enough time to coach Bumstead like he used to.

Valliere had to train to get the perfect physique in order to win the Mr. Olympia title, which left him with a scarcity of time to train Bumstead to defend his Classic Physique title. However, this did not hamper the relationship they had with each other. Share your thoughts about the parting of the duo with us in the comments section!
