25-year-old German bodybuilding icon Urs Kalecinski feels ready to take Ramon Dino’s Arnold Classic crown. While the 2023 Arnold Classic Physique runner-up hasn’t posted a physique update after winning the Prague Pro, he has been working hard to earn his first Arnold Classic Physique title. The bodybuilder exuded confidence as he declared himself the champion of the upcoming competition earlier.

The Miracle Bear appeared on The Menace Podcast. While speaking to hosts Dennis James, Milos Sarcev, and Chris Cormier, Urs Kalecinski gave his predictions for the Open and Classic Physique divisions. However, his predictions for his division sounded more like a declaration.

After talking for nearly an hour, the veteran bodybuilder asked the 25-year-old for his predictions for the upcoming contest in Ohio. Unlike Chris Busmtead, The Miracle Bear put Samson Dauda ahead of Hadi Choopan. Yet when it came to Classic Physique, the bodybuilder predicted that the defending champion would fall. “One – Urs Kalecinski and the rest is…” he trailed off.

The German seemed focused on beating the defending champion Ramon Dino. Hearing his declaration, Dennis James completed his sentence, “The rest you don’t care,” and burst into laughter. However, Urs Kalecinski kept his composure and said, “I wish all the other guys a great competition.” The 25-year-old seemed confident that despite a stacked lineup, he’ll emerge victorious.

The veteran bodybuilding coach had asked for a “top six” prediction from the 25-year-old. Dennis James also has a good reason for asking for such a long list. This year’s Arnold Classic Physique lineup is arguably the strongest yet. If Urs Kalecinski wants to win the title, he’ll have to defeat the best Classic Physique bodybuilders from across the world.

A lineup that almost mirrors the Mr. Olympia

The Classic Physique lineup at Ohio will almost mirror the top 12 at the Mr. Olympia. Only five-time Classic Physique Olympia winner Chris Bumstead was originally missing from the roster. The reigning King of Classic Physique doesn’t compete at the Arnold Classic as he utilizes this period to rest and heal. This year, he is going the extra mile to rehab the chronic effects of past injuries.

However, two-time Arnold Classic Physique champion Terrence Ruffin pulled out of the competition. Just like Chris Bumstead, Ruffin also said he needs to improve before stepping on the Classic Physique Olympia stage. However, despite Ruffin’s exit, things won’t be easy for Urs Kalecinski.
