Joey Swoll, the self-acclaimed CEO of gym positivity, often gets irked with fitness lovers who post videos from the gym mocking other people. He frequently criticizes them in his gym positivity posts on Instagram and Twitter, asking them to mind their business. A recent video compelled the 40-year-old bodybuilding champion to make clear the unsaid rules of filming in the gym.

Swoll was unhappy with a woman trying to film herself in the gym but ended up capturing a gym-goer without his permission. The man who realized he was being filmed without consent was visibly disappointed, and the gym positivity spearhead supported him in his reaction.

The video clip Swoll shared on his Instagram account shows a man in the gym shaking his head in disapproval when filmed by a gym-goer without consent. “I understand why this man is so frustrated and shaking his head,” states Swoll explaining the person’s intentions. The bodybuilder and influencer noted that the woman filming her workout pointed the camera toward the man and said, “You are filming more of him than you are filming yourself in your video.

He further justifies the man’s response, “That would upset anybody.” Swoll claims that people are frustrated with being filmed in the gym as they generally go there to work out and not to be filmed without consent. “Just because you feel comfortable filming in the gym others need not feel the same. This keeps a lot of people from going to the gym,” said Swoll in the video. Swoll tries to put some sense into the gym-goer who made fun of the man by posting his reaction online.

He further asks the woman to film more responsibly with respect to other people. “You need to do better. Mind your own business,” he ends his video on a serious note. Earlier the social media influencer called out a professional swimmer for her mocking post.

Joey Swoll calls out Nika Godun for mocking a young gym-goer

Nika Godun’s recent demeanor at the gym didn’t impress Swoll as she was seen laughing at a young lad who was trying to do pull-ups at the gym, in bad form. “The arrogant laugh as you film that kid to make fun of him is so sad, so disappointing to see,” said the gym positivity cheerleader.

He also advised the swimmer to either help the young boy with the right technique or just stick to her business. Swoll underlines that everyone has to start somewhere, and mocking novice gym-goers wouldn’t serve any purpose.
