Aljamain Sterling is regarded to have one of the best physiques in the UFC, with an absolutely ripped physique and significantly visible eight-pack abs. Also known as the ‘Funk Master’, he entertained fans once again last night in the main event of UFC 292, going against Sean O’Malley to defend his bantamweight title.

After having put on several pounds following his victory against Henry Cejudo at UFC 288, Aljamain Sterling embarked on a journey to shed weight in just three months. Well, it has turned out amazing for him. But what was the secret that led to such a huge amount of cutting in such a short time?

Aljamain Sterling recently took to his Instagram and Twitter handles and shared pictures of himself over the past few weeks where he looks ridiculously lean. His transformation was partly thanks to what he calls a ‘crash diet.’ This involved the former bantamweight champion being very careful about everything he ate. But there’s another important reason why his efforts saw such great results. 

In an exclusive interview with SunSport, he said: “It’s not easy. But I do think having the time to do it so quickly – or should I say the short amount of time to do it after the last weight cut – I think that makes it a little bit easier. So that all the weight didn’t stick like it did last time.”

Well, Aljamain Sterling managed to get in the best shape ever to come against his greatest rival, Sean O’Malley. However, the fight on Saturday proved that he’ll need a lot more than his ripped physique to have an edge over the up-and-coming fighter.

Looks like the UFC now has a new rising superstar. Sean O’Malley, the GenZ fighter with pink braids and tattoos, brought the former champion Aljamain Sterling down with a right-hand counter, grabbing the title of the UFC bantamweight in the main event of UFC 292 on Saturday.

The celebration of victory by the fighter was way cooler than the wind itself. As per the videos, Sean O’Malley jumped out of the fighting Octagon, spread his arms wide open in the crowd, and grabbed a beer from a fan, chugging it as the entire TD Garden echoed his name with cheers.
