UFC commentator, standup comedian, and television star Joe Rogan was one of the first to hop onto the podcast trend. His podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, has over 2000 episodes. It’s one of the longest-running and most popular podcasts on the internet. Throughout the years, Rogan has invited people from various fields. However, nearly every guest has at one point talked about fitness and bodybuilding.

In episode #2006, Rogan invited fellow standup comedian Brian Simpson. The pair talked about a 45-year-old man who made the headlines with his fitness and anti-aging practices. Rogana and Simpson talked about former business tycoon Bryan Johnson, who spends $2 million every year, to stave off aging. However, the 56-year-old host was quite critical of Johnson’s practices.

While talking about fitness and anti-aging, Simpson mentioned the founder of Braintree Payment Solutions. The millionaire later sold the payment company to eBay for $800 million. Since then, the entrepreneur has focused on his health and fitness. However, Johnson’s goal is to stave off aging, appearing and performing like an 18-year-old. For his goal, Johnson has gone to extreme lengths.

During the podcast, Simpson mentioned the 45-year-old became the first man to perform an intergenerational blood transfusion. Johnson, his father, and his son swapped blood plasma with one another. However, Joe Rogan responded saying the millionaire was?“weird.”?While Johnson spends millions to monitor every aspect of his physiology, Rogan had a lackluster take.

The podcast host said the fitness fanatic looked like a 45-year-old who worked out a lot. Besides not seeing any significant changes, Rogan also critiqued his diet choices. The 56-year-old said he found it?“interesting”?Johnson chose to go vegan, as?“there’s a lot of you know nutritional pitfalls in that.”?The UFC commentator also said vegan options aren’t the most nutrient-dense.

West also got the opportunity to try Johnson’s daily medical checkup. From red light therapy to ultrasound and even eye health, Johnson keeps no stone unturned in his anti-aging quest.
