Although there is a day and night difference between the sports of bodybuilding and MMA, athletes of MMA often act as a bridge for the fitness community due to their muscular and aesthetic physiques. Quite recently, in an episode of ‘The Menace Podcast with Dennis James,’ IFBB Pros Milos Sarcev, Chris Cormier, and Dennis James discussed the recent UFC bout between Belal Muhammad and?Gilbert Burns, among many other topics.

While UFC veteran?Conor McGregor?recently trolled Burns after he lost against Muhammad by a unanimous decision, the bodybuilding trio had a few praises to make for Burns. Burns continued to fight with an injured arm after suffering from an early left shoulder injury during the fight. Days later, Burns confirmed that he has multiple tears in his shoulder as well as sprains in his neck. Sarcev and James had two completely different takes on the fight and discussed that vividly during the podcast. During the podcast, Sarcev revealed that he traveled to New Jersey to witness UFC 288. While discussing the main event’s outcome, Cormier suggested that he was not very interested in the fight. Following this, James disclosed that he was?‘disappointed’?with the fight, as he?“expected a little bit more.”?On the contrary, Milos ‘The Mind’ Sarcev believed the fight to be perfect and even empathized with Burns.?“He didn’t throw the left hand at all, I mean…Jesus Christ,”?Sarcev said.?

“That must be like the worst thing ever right…you are there in a ring, and then something shuts off,”?said Sarcev. Continuing on the same lines, James appreciated ‘Durinho’ Burns’ athleticism and dedication towards the fight,?“But before I would look bad, getting beat up for 3 rounds, I would say listen, I’m out, it’s over.”

Concluding the argument, Sarcev pointed out that?“These guys are warriors. They still believe there’s one punch, one kick, that separates them from it. I would hang in even if I’m knocked out.”?

While the duo had a bit of sympathy for the UFC fighter and respected his will to keep fighting, on the other hand, ‘Notorious’ recently mocked Burns via a tweet. Burns and McGregor have had a tense relationship for a long time with rumors of their fight circling for years. Retweeting a post from a fan that called Burns ‘overrated,’ McGregor poked fun at the Brazilian’s name.
