“Two Things I Told You Not to Do”: Arnold Schwarzenegger Felt Like a “Failure” After “Amateur” Jimmy Fallon Ruined His $100 in 2015

Arnold Schwarzenegger inspired many to take up bodybuilding. He is spreading the fitness mantra and motivating its subscriber village through his newsletter, Arnold’s Pump Club. However, Arnie once revealed his failure as a teacher while taking up cigar-smoking classes.

The Austrian Oak is not just famous for his iconic phrases in movies but also for his big Cuban cigars. So Jimmy Fallon wanted to learn cigar smoking style from the bodybuilding legend but failed his master in the process.

Arnold Schwarzenegger fails to teach Jimmy Fallon the art of cigar smoking

The Terminator actor appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2015 and opened up about his cigar-smoking classes for the host. Fallon wanted to learn the royal style of Arnie’s smoking cigars and requested that the former California governor coach him.

So, the kind 75-year-old obliged and arranged for a meeting; however, the session was an epic failure, according to Schwarzenegger. “There are two things I told you not to do!” said the Governator, recalling the incident. “I said don’t cough because that makes you look like an amateur, and then don’t lick! I said just cut the cigar and put it in your mouth and be cool!” were Arnie’s instructions to Fallon, but to no avail.

Fallon ended up licking the $100 cigar Arnold Schwarzenegger offered him and went on to cough all over the place, making the FUBAR actor feel like a “failure” in his teaching. The Twins actor has mastered the art of cigar smoking over the years. His ex-father-in-law, Sargent Shriver, introduced Arnie to Cuban cigars.

The Austrian Oak spilled the beans about his smoking habits

The Predator icon was a non-smoker until he started enjoying smoking elite Cuban cigars with Maria Shriver’s father, Sargent Shriver. “I remember that Maria’s father, Sargent Shriver, will always take me down to his basement,” he told Chris Wallace in an interview, recalling his good times with his ex-father-in-law.

Offering cigars to Arnie, Father Shriver used to say, “Let me expose you to some good Cuban cigars.” They would smoke cigars in the basement, oblivious to others in the family.
