Vitaliy Ugolnikov aka Good Vito has taken over the bodybuilding world and made a name for himself in recent times. The icon had ventured into the sport when he was still in Naval School in St Petersberg. Ugolnikov shifted to NPC Leagues after winning the 2021 Saint Petersburg Bodybuilding title in the Open Division.
However, he has also undergone numerous hardships as well through his career including knee surgery before Europa Pro. Recently, it seems like he is in some sort of plight again as he got an umbilical hernia surgery. Despite being successful, the surgery which happened just ahead of the 2024 season, may have an effect on the athletes preparation for the season. halt his activities for now.
Vitaliy Ugolnikov has yet another surgery

In a recent post by Bisandtris, they updated about the latest surgery that Ugolnikov underwent. The bodybuilder underwent umbilical hernia surgery, a quick procedure that takes 20 to 30 minutes. This surgery is often done to remove a sac that might be formed inside the abdominal cavity, often caused due to extra pressure on the abdominal cavity.

The post was captioned, “Ugolnikov undergoes a successful umbilical hernia surgery earlier today ahead of the 2024 season.” Earlier, Ugolnikov had talked about his knee injury that occurred after he hurt himself while trying out a surprising stunt. Even then the bodybuilder goes on striving hard and working his way to the top.

Good Vito’s stunt that led to a ligament tear
In an Instagram post by Bisandtris, the picture showed that the bodybuilder had graced Brazil during a guest posing show. During the show, the bodybuilder hyped up the audience with amazing poses and his entertaining presence. To give the performance a spectacular end, however, he jumped from the stage onto the ground.
However, he had an abrupt landing during this, which ultimately caused a knee injury. None of the pictures captured the dangerous moment of the accident but later on, the bodybuilder informed that he might have torn a ligament. The post had a message that read, “Vitaliy @goodvito Ugolnikov suffers from a knee injury during his latest guest-posing after jumping off the stage. Vitaliy says he may have torn a ligament. This comes at 9 weeks out from the Europa Pro where he’s expected to compete.”
