While some bodybuilders prefer fling for high-intensity training, pulling out heavy weights and lesser reps to enhance hypertrophy, others go for lesser weights with more reps.
The bodybuilding legend, Mike Mentzer, who belongs to the golden age of bodybuilding, had his own philosophy that has made him one of the best bodybuilders of all time. However, the GenZ fitness influencer happened to question his technique.
Sam Sulek is not convinced by Mike Mentzer’s training philosophy

Sam Sulek, the 21 YO fitness influencer, who recently went viral on his perfectly built physique, shared his thoughts on rest days and workouts. The video was recently shared by a YouTube page @aegfitness8047. In the video, he was seen challenging the training method of Mike Mentzer. He begins the video, by saying, “How often do you need a rest week? How often are you taking significant periods off of the gym? That’s gonna most certainly affect your progress.”
Taking to the fact that Mike Mentzer suggests that a workout works effectively if you train one day a week and rest for the next four days, Sulek states that the key to having a good workout is consistency. He adds, “Let’s say you do lift, maybe twice a week and you get the craziest workout ever. But then you don’t go in the rest of the days.”

According to him, Mentzer’s method of training does not make sense to him, and thus, he says, “I guess Mike Mentzer might think that that’s a good idea. I’m not so convinced.” According to him, it is his intense workout sessions all throughout the week that have given him his amazing ripped physique. However, despite all the knowledge, the Internet thinks of him otherwise.
The fitness community accused Sam Sulek of being fake natty
Sam Sulek has a huge fanbase on TikTok where the other users make memes of him and even share his videos on the fan pages. However, the other part on the Internet believes that his physique is unnaturally swole for his age. Although he claims that he is completely natural, fitness enthusiasts do not seem to take his word.

There have been several posts made on his natural status by eminent Pro athletes and he has time and again been warned about abiding by his responsibility as a fitness icon.
