The fitness and body bodybuilding community idolizes former Navy Seal-turned-ultra-endurance athlete David Goggins. Goggin’s unapologetic and drill instructor-like motivations videos have become some of his most popular content. While many feel inspired watching Goggins urge people into action while out on his daily run, others joke about it.

Earlier, fitness influencer and bodybuilding veteran Greg Doucette shared a video of a kid. In the video, the kid emulated going as he pretended to jog at a high pace while disparaging his “generation.” Like the 48-year-old, the youngster starts off jogging shirtless, as he starts the video saying it is “negative 4 degrees outside.” However, the skit didn’t go down well with netizens.

After recreating how David Goggins appears in his short motivational videos, the kid emulated something the former Navy Seal would say. He said that his generation was too soft. “We suck… We don’t appreciate anything,” the youngster claimed. He also advised other kids to “get off the video games” and YouTube.

As a former Navy Seal, Goggins is the embodiment of their motto, “Embrace the suck.” Hence, telling everyone to start working out is something the 48-year-old would say. However, the kid parodied it by telling others to “stop telling your mom what you want to eat.” The youngster even ended his speech with David Goggins’ signature phrase, “Stay hard.” Maybe that’s why Greg Doucette also shared the post with his catchphrase “(working) harder than last time.” However, the skit didn’t land bodybuilding and fitness enthusiasts.

The bodybuilding community didn’t approve

The bodybuilding and fitness community didn’t find the video funny. “Bro looks like he’s never run in his whole life,” said one fan. One Instagram user called the kid out. “Brother saying stop trying to go viral while he is trying to go viral,” said the user. Another fan thought that the kid was trying too hard. “Bro is trying to be David Goggins very hard,” the netizen commented.

“Chasing clout, going viral? That’s all his dad wants for him, LOL!” said the one individual. One fan said that the kid wouldn’t follow his own speech. “As soon as the recording stopped, bro put his jacket back on, hopped in the car, and went home to upload this on TikTok and play Fortnite,” the fitness enthusiast commented.

While Coach Greg shared the joke and might’ve found it funny, his followers didn’t find it amusing. It seems the author of Can’t Hurt Me commands immense respect.
