Stress has been an underlying cause of many health issues. As the facets of life have increased manifold in the technological era, stress has become almost universal. Cognizant of the current trend, the bodybuilding icon shared a message, “Learn to reduce stress!” Yates focused his entire life on bodybuilding and practiced the HIT method for building a Mass Monster era, and his will to live a healthy life is undying.
The English bodybuilder suggests not to worry about things that are out of control. He emphasized how “anger and frustration” served no purpose. “Try to see things in a larger perspective,” he wrote in his post. He also listed several tools for becoming more composed and stress-free in life.

“There are many books, videos and audiobooks available on stress management and relaxation,” Yates recommended bringing the stress levels under control. Opening up about his strategy to deal with stress, Yates revealed the impact of “Meditation” on a noisy mind. Despite being a bodybuilding beast in the mid-1990s, the 6x Mr. Olympia took to Yoga and meditation after retiring from the competitive stage.

Dorian Yates lived his bodybuilding dream by rigorous training at the gym to become a Mass Monster on stage. However, his heavy-weighted duties resulted in a few injuries, and the icon had to retire from professional bodybuilding. So Yates turned to Yoga to keep himself fit and healthy. However, getting trained in Yoga was not an easy task.

“My balance was terrible. I couldn’t stand on one foot without falling over all the time,” he once confessed about his Yoga classes. The years of weight lifting reduced Yates’s flexibility and mobility, making his Yoga training a bit hard. Also, his Yoga master suggested, “So, you’ve gotta learn to relax.”

Meditation and Yoga have become a way of life for the bodybuilding beast, who was once known for his muscles.
