Seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger remains a fitness icon at 76. However, his youngest child, Joseph Baena, is living up to his father’s legacy through his own athletic prowess. While the Austrian Oak conquered the bodybuilding stage, Joseph Baena is trying his hand at multiple sports involving both strength and endurance.
Earlier, the 26-year-old actor uploaded a montage of the different sports he has tried so far. The clip showed snippets of Baena posing, exercising at Gold’s Gym, running a marathon, and cycling. “(I) wouldn’t really consider myself a hybrid athlete, but I do love trying new things and pushing my body to new limits,” the 26-year-old wrote in the caption.
While Baena has no plans for competing on the bodybuilding stage, he is definitely getting better at the sport Arnold Schwarzenegger excelled in. Meanwhile, his experimental nature helped him fall in love with “swimming, cycling, running, and lifting weights,” at the same time. The bodybuilding enthusiast has also tested his fitness on a few occasions.

Baena followed the footsteps of Arnold Schwarzenegger to the Gold’s Gym. However, by competing in the Malibu Triathlon, he also took his first steps as a hybrid athlete in 2023. Since triathlons start with swimming, then transition to cycling, and finally running, the fitness enthusiast experienced this as his 26th birthday celebration.
On the other hand, Joseph Baena doesn’t consider himself a hybrid athlete yet, nor does he compare himself with the bodybuilding achievements of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Instead, the youngest son of the Austrian Oak is a true fitness enthusiast at heart who loves challenging himself and breaking his own benchmarks. This is something the fitness community also stands behind.

Other fitness enthusiasts took inspiration from the 26-year-old. “You’re an inspiration, Joesph. Keep it up bro!” encouraged one fan. Meanwhile, another stated, “I consider you a hybrid athlete Joe,” even though the the bodybuilder himself might not believe that yet.
