Ever since the rise of climate action, people on the internet have had two distinct responses. While one section supports those trying to combat climate change, others criticize and sometimes outright dismiss it. Arnold Schwarzenegger has found himself in the center of such an incident after posting a snap of himself flying to Austria for the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative Summit. Despite the visible Lufthansa logo, some Twitter users accused him of flying on a private jet to attend a climate action summit.

However, Schwarzenegger responded to the tweets by clarifying the facts. Fox News covered it but wrote a headline that the Terminator actor himself thought needlessly sensationalized his tweets. Hence, earlier, the bodybuilding legend took to Twitter to respond to the Fox News headline.

Everything wrong with the headline

In their headline, the news outlet wrote, “Arnold @Schwarzenegger rips critics who accused him of flying to climate conference on private jet.” The 75-year-old didn’t think it accurately represented the nature of his response. The Governator originally posted an image of himself in the first-class cabin of a Lufthansa flight on Twitter. “En route to @ArnoldSCI for this year’s summit in Vienna,” he wrote.

“There is no climate emergency and all the private jets prove they all know it,” commented a Twitter user on Arnie’s tweet. “This is a commercial flight – I truly hope you don’t go around making things up to be angry about all the time. I don’t want you to be that miserable,” responded Arnie. He also replied to a few others who falsely accused him of flying on a private jet.

After reading the Fox headline, Arnie wrote, “Bogus headline designed to cause confusion and anger, the opposite of what news should do.” He also pointed out everything wrong with it. “A: It doesn’t tell you the key fact: I didn’t fly private,” he stated. “B: I didn’t rip anyone. I corrected with zero anger and gave advice,” added Arnie. Fans came to the bodybuilding legend’s defense in the comments.

Fans sided with Arnold Schwarzenegger

From pointing out the obvious things people missed to sarcasm could be found in the comments section. One fan found it funny how people who accused him of flying privately, didn’t know what the Lufthansa logo looks like.

Others praised the Governator for his positivity. However, they were not so kind to the news outlet.

Meanwhile, some fans left hilarious and sarcastic comments on Arnie’s post.
