Chris Bumstead, better referred to as CBum by his fans and followers is the 4x winner of the Classic Physique category. The IFBB Pro bodybuilder kicked off his career in bodybuilding in the year 2014 and won his pro card in 2016 after winning the IFBB North American Bodybuilding Championship when he was just 21 years old. The 28-YO fitness icon is now preparing to clinch his 5th Classic Physique title in 2023 Mr. Olympia. Moreover, he is confident to not lose his title this year. 

Recently after the retirement of his former coach and professional athlete Iain Valliere, he posted another picture of his workout regimen in the gym.

CBum went on his Instagram page and posted a few pictures with the caption, This year’s cheat code: training in solitude. Bum lifting club built by @puremuscleandfitness.” He seems all set to clinch the title even in the turbulent situation, wherein the news of Iain’s retirement has affected him directly. Moreover, a few days ago he shocked the bodybuilding fraternity by announcing his own retirement plans. Nevertheless, the defending champion is certain to win this year by planning a strict workout regimen, efficient nutrition and diet plan, and effective supplementation for his contest preparation.

Moreover, before switching his coach in the 2022 Olympia to Hany Rambod, his foremost bodybuilding coach was Iain Valliere. Thus, after his retirement, he posted two pictures with Iain during his training days, congratulating him for being brave enough to exit at the right time.

Hence, he penned,

“So proud and excited for you to be starting the next chapter of your life. Every bodybuilder knows as beautiful as competing can be, it really does consume so much of your existence.” He also added, But aside from external achievements I’ve seen you dedicate 110% effort to this goal for 15 years, become a better man along the way, and earn the right to hang it up with your head held high.” Furthermore, CBum goes through extensive workouts and training for the preparation of 2023 Mr. Olympia.

Bumstead Olympia 2023 training 

For the preparation of 2023 Mr. O in the Classic Physique Division, Chris Bumstead is following a three-day on, one day off, and three-day workout split. On the first three-day-on-split, CBum begins with a quad workout leg session. Moreover, after that, he kicks off with a push-and-pull day. On the second day three-day-on-split, he begins with a shoulder workout followed by a hamstrings and arms session.

Hany Rambod carefully observes the workout sessions and recommends arching the back during the exercise. Furthermore, Chris performed the sets with a slow and controlled movement and took a pause after completing each repetition.
