They do this because they think it makes them look cool. Taking the example from his initial days of training, he stated that he too used to do the same thing. Back when he used to lift 405 lbs, he had no conditioning in his body. However, now that he has realized it, he refrains from repeating the same mistake.

He used the picture as an opportunity to tell his followers that every set from the first to the last is equally important. He advised the gym goers to clear their minds before hitting the first set. He added that it is utterly important to think about nothing other than the set while performing it.
