7x Mr. Olympia Phil Heath was well-known for having an outstanding body that had a muscular, symmetrical, and shredded look. Heath presented the judges with such a flawless package of size, conditioning, and vascularity that they had no choice but to name him the winner. Such a perfect physique undoubtedly requires a lot of sacrifice on the part of the athlete.

During his professional career, Heath resided in Denver, Colorado, where he trained at Armbrust Pro Gym, which is known for its hardcore atmosphere and equipment. The gym is owned by former professional bodybuilder Dylan Armbrust and is frequented by many other top-level bodybuilders. During a recent visit to the gym, one fan of Heath shared an Instagram story. Coming across the story, Heath certainly got emotional and posted a video describing his feelings on his Instagram as well. 

Heath shares his emotions

Lifting iron in the same place year after year makes you attached to the place. For this very reason, Phil Heath got emotional when he saw a story posted by one of his fans who visited the gym recently. The man who posted the story is an amateur bodybuilder himself. While visiting the area, he went to the legendary gym where ‘The Gift’ used to train and wrote on his Instagram story, “Home of @philheath.”

Heath revealed in the caption that this was the place where he shed all his blood, sweat, and tears and it, in turn, made him a champion multiple times. Reposting the video on his Instagram account, Heath wrote, “Where I put in hours of work to win those Sandows.”

Phil Heath shared an emotional speech after his last Olympia win, which was held in 2017. It was during this speech that he revealed that he never expected that he could win a Sandow Trophy. His only intention while training was to get one more rep. He also talked about the bodybuilders he looked up to during his training. 

He revealed, “I’d be in there dying. Looking at those pictures in the gym, of Schwarzenegger, of Coleman, of Haney, of Dorian, and of everybody. And I would just tell myself: ‘One more set. One more rep.”
