A weight loss journey, by no means, is an easy feat. It requires conviction and disciple to leave behind our bad habits built over the years. Although people believe shedding pounds is a simple addition and subtraction of calories, more often, it is a mental fight. Therefore, weight loss success stories ought to be celebrated for creating a positive relationship with one’s body and food. Rather than being a one-day wonder, slow and steady weight loss requires everyday consistency, especially if one wants to drop too many dress sizes.

Earlier, reality tv star Amy Tapper shared her healthy transformation on social media. She dropped massive pounds and inches. Let’s celebrate her success story.

Tapper’s weight loss was not abrupt or unannounced. She consciously decided to adopt a healthier lifestyle a year ago. Her Instagram showed her incremental efforts through kickboxing, kettlebell exercises, and bodybuilding. From the look of her social media, one could tell that the 23-year-old did not shut herself inside to avoid temptations. Furthermore, she traveled, hung out with friends, dressed up, attended events, and trained hard.

Daily Mail UK reported that earlier, she was stuck in a vicious cycle of crash diets to shed weight owing to the backlash faced when she was a Channel 4 actress. However, this made her journey more tedious, as the pounds would creep back in. The on-and-off diet was not proving beneficial. So finally, Tapper decided to focus on health than just losing weight. Her journey has garnered a lot of attention among netizens. She is receiving much-deserved love and support. A few months back, another social media user shared health practices that worked wonders for her body.

Lisa Marie used habit stacking to lose pounds

Lisa Marie had a similar story to that of Amy Tapper. She was tired of gaining her weight back again and again. Frustrated, she wrote, “When I tell you I tried EVERYTHING to lose weight, but I always failed.” The fitness coach further added, “I was overworked, felt defeated, or didn’t see immediate results, and that’s when I decided to start small and try ONE thing at a time.”

Marie calls her ingenious method “habit stacking”. She slowly adopted best practices and stuck to them. She would add new habits only when the previous one had become second nature to her.

This way, she incorporated drinking one gallon of water, 10k steps, eating at home, five days of workouts, and no screen time after nine as part of her lifestyle. Within 13 months, the resilient coach lost a whopping 130 lbs. Both the above stories have the same conclusion. That there is no quick fix to dropping weight. One needs to recalibrate their relationship with food and exercise and make it a part of their existence. What is your weight loss story? Tell us in the comments section.
