Ryan Terry, who is a renowned bodybuilder, model, and apparel ambassador has seen it all in his attempt to rise to the top. From a competitive streak in high school to working as a plumber, he has proven that anyone with drive and passion for something can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with even the biggest competitors. Being born in a small town in the UK, Ryan Terry’s hard work has driven him to get the sweet rewards for all his efforts.

The bodybuilding legend has managed to win almost every competition that he has ever participated in. But one goal of his remained unfulfilled and that was his dream of winning the Mr. Olympia.

Ryan Terry was on the verge of giving up

Ryan Terry recently took to his official Instagram account and shared a video of himself where he is seen confessing about how he was on the verge of giving up the Olympia this year because of his prior commitments. He began the video by saying that he would not want to risk it all and give in the effort unless he was certain that he would win the title for himself.

He talked about how he had almost won every title he had desired in bodybuilding apart from the one ultimate goal – winning the Olympia. However, he had no plans to pursue it anymore because he wanted to become a family man.

He said, “I’ll be honest, and that is something not spoken of yet was this was going to be my last Olympia and I always said to my wife and everybody around me.” He was no longer ready to dive in with all the risks involved in the sport. Ryan Terry after all his efforts, could finally capture the title of his dreams and pursue his dreams this year.

Ryan Terry winning the Mr. Olympia Physique title

Ryan Terry bagged the title of the 2023 Mr. Olympia Men’s Physique title in Orlando last month. He was awarded the second position in 2016 and bagged the seventh position in 2022. However, this was going to be his last effort and he would have given up if he failed to win this year.

So, he gave his all in and the results were as satisfying as the hard work put in. In one of his videos, expressing his emotions about winning, Terry said, “As I got closer to it, there was no nerves that came into it. It was strategically planned in my head; what I was doing next meal, when I needed to rest, when I needed to train when I needed to do my posing and it was just military, and I just went in, and yeah… it felt amazing, best I ever felt.” What are your thoughts on Ryan Terry?
