Chris Bumstead has reached a point where he can afford the luxury of having his private gym. The reigning, five-time Classic Physique champion converted his garage into a fully decked-out private gym with everything he needs for his Olympia prep. However, the man with nearly 25 million fans on social media just dropped a bombshell on his unsuspecting fans.

Earlier, the modern-day bodybuilding icon announced he was building a new gym. However, this one wouldn’t be in his garage. In fact, this one isn’t even located in Canada, it’s set to open in Florida, USA. The exciting announcement by the Canadian generated incredible excitement from his global fanbase.

Earlier, the King of Classic Physique started a brand new Instagram page, Raw Athletic Club. The page posted a teaser trailer that showed off a massive complex with construction underway. “Raw Athletic Club… Coming Soon… 2024,” read the caption. Based on the teaser, it seems the complex might be big enough to be more than a bodybuilding gym. The name also suggests the same.

Raw is the nutrition brand that Cbum collaborated with for his signature products. The collab became so successful that Bumstead became a co-owner of the brand, and since then, Raw has expanded its operations in different markets. Last year, Cbum traveled to India to launch Raw products. Now, his company is venturing into a brand new domain. 

It’s no secret that the disparity in pay between the open-weight class and every other category is massive. Cbum has also confessed that he is competing because it’s his passion. However, the opportunities that bodybuilding has given Chris Bumstead enabled him to establish a brand. Hence, the 28-year-old has used his popularity to expand that brand into a business. Bumstead’s supportive fans couldn’t be more excited.

The fans have boarded the hype train

Some fans a ready to travel to Florida as soon as Raw Atleteic Club opens to the public. “Gonna have to take a trip to Florida when this opens up!” commented one fan. “Y’all really gonna make me fly to Florida huh?” wrote another fan and added a crying emoji for dramatic effect. “This gym gonna be the best of the best,” proclaimed one follower.

While the plot seems massive, one fan requested Chris Bumstead to keep the gym affordable for people. “Please don’t make the day pass $100,” the fan requested. “I can’t wait to see the finished product,” product said another follower. However, by the looks of the trailer, construction has just begun, and opening day is still a ways off.
