Bodybuilding is not for the weak. The timings are weird, the diet particular to a fault, supplements are expensive and even when you do everything right, there are always, always the chances of injuries. Oh, and of course, never forget the weight cut before a major tournament. Being on a calorie deficit weeks before stepping on the stage and following an intense training regimen at the same time can often put extra load on the muscles and joints leading to injuries. Such was the case with one of the Olympia’s hottest prospects, Nick Walker.
Nick ‘The Mutant’ Walker announced weeks out from this year’s Olympia contest that he would not be participating due to an unfortunate hamstring injury. While this came as a shock for the bodybuilding fans, his recent Instagram post helped relieve the tension as he could be seen training his back. The lifting community went frenzy over the post as they suggested that his comeback would be insane.
