Lee Haney is widely regarded in the bodybuilding world for his exceptional physique and record-setting accolades. He made his Mr. Olympia debut in 1983, where he managed to bag 3rd place. It was one of the greatest milestones that later on led to a remarkable journey in the history of the sport. He broke Arnold Schwarzenegger’s record and became one of the two athletes to have won the title the highest number of times. Winning the most prestigious championship 8x in a row is not easy, and well, he still managed to keep the streak going. Here’s how.

Musclemindmedia took to its official YouTube channel and shared a snippet where Lee Haney was seen unraveling the secret behind his victorious journey. He began by saying that once you manage to bag the first position, you wouldn’t want to lose the spotlight. That is what makes you think ahead of time. He says, “So you’re thinking ahead of time as to how I stay here? What do I need to do differently than what I’ve done before to keep me here?

Let me look at this training, let me look at this nutrition, let me analyze this supplementation. Let me do all of those things that’s gonna keep me on the top because when you’re on the top, there’s nowhere to go but down“, he concluded. Haney goes on to add that there are a lot of people looking for an opportunity to take your place, but if you are a true champion, you will make sure that does not happen. And thus, he advises to ‘take your b*tt to work the next day.’
