The American IMG company organizes the competition every year, and this year honored Mitchell Hooper with the prestigious title. However, the 25-year-old Canadian Strongman did not settle for his latest win and is gearing up for the upcoming competition, Shaw Classic.

Hooper shared a post where he expressed his grief after missing his mind-numbing lift narrowly. The Canadian, however, is determined to achieve it eventually.

In his latest post, Hooper was bench pressing a massive 550 lbs but failed the rep by a second as his face is visibly blood red. “250kg (550lbs) for the closest miss of all time,” he captioned the post with a heartbroken emoji.

Things are getting HOT,” he added in the caption. Despite the heavyweight duty associated with the sport, Hooper never shuns to make his mark in the arena.

The Canadian Strongman’s honest confession
