The seven-time Mr. Olympia acknowledged that smartphones are useful devices. They give people access to limitless information and help everyone connect with people they?”would have never met otherwise.”
However, smartphones might be causing more harm than good.?“They also inspire half-a**ing,”?wrote the 76-year-old former politician. Smartphones today have evolved to become handheld personal computers that can also communicate with people. However,?“They are designed to distract us from going all in,”?The Terminator actor wrote in his newsletter.
Smartphones have evolved to take up the space in between everything a person does. Arnie explained it drives him crazy to see people looking at their phones in the gym. Instead of focusing on the exercise,?”they’re on a machine,”?Arnie wrote. Even when people are out with their family or friends, they keep looking at their phones.?“It takes you away from being all-in at that moment,”?explained the 76-year-old. Hence, it’s necessary to try, and break this cycle of smartphone dependence. Interstingly, Schwarzenegger himself doesn’t use a smartphone.
