Chris Bumstead conquered the bodybuilding industry with immense hard work and training, and after he enjoyed the fruits of his perseverance, he never looked back. However, with a huge platform in the physical fitness world and a huge fan following online, sometimes Chris faces some things from fans that might be uncomfortable.

In the latest interview with Chris Williamson, the IFBB pro became candid about his experience with followers and fans. Bumstead opened up about the darker side of social media.

In the Youtube podcast by Chris Williamson, the 4X Mr. Olympia winner sheds light on how a social platform can sometimes be good and also become an adversary because of some fans. The podcast starts with Bumstead answering Williamson’s question about his Instagram statistics when it comes to men and women followers. The difference is indeed staggering, with almost 90% men and 10% women, according to the IFBB pro.

Williamson then delves into the conversation of bizarre fan requests by saying, “Every person that I’ve spoken to, that’s got a big platform that is built around their physique, it’s like, it’s a lot of men.” Then he continues to the main question about whether Bumstead gets odd fan requests and asks, “Are you getting requests for socks? Send me, send please one of your used socks.”

To this query, Bumstead candidly answered, “I used to, but I don’t read my DMs anymore. I don’t go through, I don’t know I’m the only one logged into my stuff. But I don’t even dive into it; there’s too much sh** in there.”

Bumstead has previously sat down with Williamson and chatted about his life as well. Since Bumstead is already a famous athlete and in the limelight, he revealed that he was willing to try out other domains.

As per the interview, the 28-year-old said that after finishing his career in bodybuilding, he wants to try CrossFit. Explaining the reason, Bumstead went back to his childhood stories and said, “It’s really what got me into bodybuilding. I just loved sports.”

The King of Aesthetics played a whopping six sports when he was a child. Now he intends to challenge himself in a new way and says, “I’m obviously not going to be hitting any PRs in the gym, or being heavier than I’ve ever been than I’m in my peak bodybuilding career.

So no matter what sport Chris plays, he is always looking for the biggest challenge and success. As he already said in the present interview, “There’s a little bit more meaning in doing it for yourself and just because you love training.”
