7x Mr. Olympia winner Phil Heath has the determination of steel. He is one of the most iconic and cherished bodybuilding legends. He last competed for the Sandow trophy in 2020 but did not stop training after that. Heath still hits the gym with the same vigor and enthusiasm. He is also famous on social media, where he imparts valuable knowledge about fitness and life in general.

In a recent post, Phil talked about the 4?of July holidays and what it means for being disciplined even during a holiday.

He captioned the post by saying, ?Winners understand that even through holiday weekends there’s still work to get done. Being mindful of your goals and not drifting too far off that narrow path of personal excellence will promote you a greater version of self.?

Then Heath went on to talk about the upcoming holidays and said, ?All right, so as the Fourth of July holidays are upon us, I wanted to bring something up about staying competitive.?

He also emphasized the reason why the holiday should not be on weekdays and said, ?Now, with it being Sunday, 3:30 Eastern standard time, a lot of people were very eager, ok; for Fourth of July being on a Tuesday because they?re able to extend the weekend.?

Heath also cleared up any confusion people might have after hearing the previous part and said, ?Now, I?m not saying that you can?t have you know, some time with yourself or with your family and friends, but think about how you?ve been able to stay locked in. And how some other people haven?t been locked in.? Ultimately, staying disciplined is the most important according to him. Phil?s discipline also comes from a promise he made to his father.

Heath had made a promise to his father to always persevere to become the greatest. The Olympia champion still misses his father after 9 years of his demise.

Once, when Heath was training with Hany Rambod, he kept on repeating his father?s words ?Keep moving? while training. He later confessed, ?I thought, well?I got to go to a place where I?m almost hallucinating.?
