Earlier, an Instagram post that had a snippet from a YouTube podcast hosted by Chris Williamson made waves. Explicitly, the Champion touched on important topics such as dealing with disillusionment. The Canadian IFFB pro, hailed by many of his followers as the modern-day Yoda, highlights the problems associated with a maximalist life. “Most people’s dreams are very like external. They want to win a medal of winning trophy, want a nice car and all the stuff that you get when you have everything you realize this isn’t what I wanted. I don’t feel complete right now. There’s still a void missing,” reveals the celebrated bodybuilder.

Additionally, he reveals that it is not the moolah or the medals that give him contentment; rather, it is the process that he enjoys. He further adds, “It’s like suffering through time that I don’t want to be in the gym. I want to quit my day, and I push myself and every single moment every day leading up to the show, and I win all those moments. That’s winning on one level.”

I can go in the gym and just forget about everything. That’s great. The gym is an amazing tool for that. But you still need to go back and feel that sh*t eventually, and it’s not going away,” adds the 28-year-old empathetic bodybuilder. The humane and insightful bodybuilder guru isn’t new to startling confessions either, and just recently, he had another when he opened up about his steroid consumption.

Bumstead prioritizes his health by staying away from steroids

Having fought a kidney disease that required hospitalization in 2018, Bumstead has revealed that he has not taken steroids for the past five years. Furthermore, being a successful bodybuilder, he did not lose sight of his health. He is strictly against excessive steroid consumption to don mass and is extremely vocal about the harm steroids cause to the body.
