Milos Sarcev is in the bodybuilding field for over three decades now and was the former Mr. Universe. After setting a record with 72 IFBB Pro wins, he retired from the competitive arena of the sport and took to coaching rookie bodybuilders. Many bodybuilding legends trained under ‘The Mind.’

Now, the 59-year-old who led Samson Dauda to lift Arnold Classic Trophy this year has some advice for his followers. In his latest Instagram post, the bodybuilding coach shared a tip for Quad separation.

The 2x Mr. Yugoslavia was a fitness enthusiast since childhood and enrolled in a course to learn the principles of bodybuilding at the University of Novi Sad. After his college, he started his journey of competing in bodybuilding competitions and established his name among the elite of the sport.

The Mind is regarded as one of the leading bodybuilding coaches in the world and is attributed to training Mr. Olympia finalists and IFBB Pros. He recently shared the rule for Quad separation on Instagram. “Practicing Quad separation – by continuously flexing and relaxing…and getting the feeling when quads actually fire, move…and separate…” he captioned his post, where he added a video of him doing the same.

Earlier, the coach opened up about a life-threatening situation during his career.

The Mind revealed an unfortunate incident

In an interview, the 59-year-old bodybuilding coach talked about a moment in his life when he ended up in a hospital. After qualifying for Mr. Olympia in 2000, Sarcev took Synthol for enhancing his performance, but it took a dangerous turn.

When he injected the substance in his arms, it rushed to his heart which caused “congestive heart failure and this ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome).” He recalled the horrific incident and said, “They told me I have less than 24 hours to live, you know, so it was very serious.” However, he recovered from it.
