Iain Valliere, Chris Bumstead’s retired brother-in-law’s competitive bodybuilding journey began in 2014, when he won the IFBB Amateur Olympia Latin America in the Men’s Open division. He then competed in his first professional show in 2015 at the Toronto Pro Supershow, where he finished fifth overall. Valliere, who competed in men’s open bodybuilding, decided to retire when he is just 32 years old. He thought about this for a whole year before making this tough choice. Valliere has won six competitions and has been in the top 10 at the Olympia event many times. Now, he wants to start a new chapter in his life. This news also has an impact on Chris Bumstead, who was trained by Valliere.

His decision to retire took more than a year of careful thought. The main reason was that he no longer found the excitement in his continued success in bodybuilding competitions, like his recent win at the 2023 Toronto Pro Supershow, which allowed him to compete in the 2023 Mr. Olympia contest. Recently, he responded to a user’s comment about quitting the sport on his Instagram account.

Recently, Iain Valliere posted a picture on Instagram with the caption “Toronto Pro Prep 2023”. Someone asked him, “Hey Iain no hate, but I was wondering why you decided to retire before this olympia when you had already qualified? It would’ve been a nice send off seeing you take the O stage one more time”. Iain replied, “why do something I didn’t want to do lol?”
