With the entrenchment of social media in our lives, it has become challenging to maintain a balance of privacy. Moreover, there is a rising trend of fitness influencers posing their body transformations on the internet regularly. This often leads to disturbance for those looking for some peace. Earlier, the CEO of Gym Positivity, Joey Swoll, highlighted a similar malaise on his social media. What transpired next will reestablish faith in humanity.
A few days ago, the motivational coach reposted a video from Komla Junior Voule, who displayed hurtful behavior. Furthermore, realizing his mistake, Junior expressed regret to Swoll after he called him out on the internet. The sorry post immediately captured Swoll’s attention, who then showcased the apology to his 2.7 million fans on Instagram. Moreover, Swoll also appreciated Voule for his brave act.

Taking to Instagram, the fitness coach issued an update video on the controversy. Swoll wrote in the caption, “We are ALL human. We ALL make mistakes. We can ALL do better. Thank you @junior_klein11 for being accountable and apologizing.” In the video snippet, Swoll first posted the disturbing video of Junior, followed by his apology that came later. The bodybuilding fan said, “It was a negative and bad action I did …. that’s why I want to apologize. I will try also to find this guy in the gym to tell him I am so sorry for my action, for my reaction, and now. Yes, guys, I am really sorry, and I just want to say have a nice day.”

The post won the Youtuber’s approval for its honesty and candor. He pointed out that rarely do people take responsibility for their actions. Swoll added, “There have only been four or five people that have actually apologized like this, taking complete responsibility, being accountable, not pointing fingers not blaming anybody else, not making themselves out to be a victim and Jr is one of them. That shows character.”
The proponent of ethical gym practices lauded Voule for his strength of ‘character’. Swoll also reminded fans that, “to err, is human” but one needs to learn from their mistake. The CEO was so impressed with Junior’s actions that he swore to support him in his future endeavors and asked his followers to do the same. However, what had really been done to cause all this commotion and name-calling?
Fitness enthusiast got angry when his posing video did not go according to plan
Junior_klein11 had posted a video where he was trying to record himself posing, but a man comes in the frame. It was an honest mistake by the individual as he was doing his workout, and he came to pick up the weights. However, Voule, in his zest to post great content for his followers, got infuriated with the disruption. He then posted the recording and said, “And you think just f*** off.”

This action did not go down too well with Swoll, who spoke his mind on Twitter about the incident. The ethical coach captioned the post by saying, “Being bigger than someone doesn’t make you better or mean you can treat them this way.“ The incident is available both on Instagram and Twitter.
Swoll continued by writing, “I’m sorry. You don’t own the gym. And just because you wanna pose and film, it doesn’t mean everyone else has to stop what they were doing for you.” This incident teaches one the lesson of upholding humane values, even within the premises of the gym. All practitioners of fitness expect a welcoming and supportive gym community. Unscrupulous principles will only mar the gym experience of others.
