DY Nutrition recently took to its official Instagram account to share a video of Dorian Yates, where he is seen pulling out a set of dumbbell shoulder presses. In the video, he even teaches his followers how to get boulder shoulders without engaging triceps in their workout.

He begins the video, by illustrating the motion without using dumbbells. He says, “Push up and in the end, you’re probably gonna get near to each other about here, and we come down. We go up and we come down. So we’re not going to like with the barbell. All the way straight because that last bit is as you can see mainly triceps.” Yates also emphasizes where to keep the tension.

The bodybuilding legend adds, “Try to keep the tension on and up two-thirds of the way back, and again, it’s not straight, it’s up and in”. The attention to detail and the solid muscle-mind connection is what has always set the 6X Mr. Olympia winner apart. He has not only motivated himself but also changed the entire atmosphere of the gym he would work in, leaving his partner impressed.
