76-year-old bodybuilding and fitness icon Arnold Schwarzenegger started his fitness crusade at the beginning of the year. Worried about the declining fitness levels of the average working adult, the seven-time Mr. Olympia set to make fitness more efficient. Schwarzenegger knew people find it hard to get into fitness, so he created a free newsletter that provided readers with brief but efficient workouts and diet advice.
Since starting the newsletter in January, Schwarzenegger has kept his newsletter free. He has even provided past newsletter issues on the Arnold’s Pump Club website and started a podcast version. However, despite his $450 million net worth running such an operation isn’t cheap. Hence to keep his venture free and fuel growth, Arnie has made compromises. However, the bodybuilding legend has been transparent about those compromises.

In his latest newsletter, The Austrian Oak featured something different. The fitness icon featured a segment on Ramit Sethi who wrote about how managing money has a positive impact on an individual’s life. However, since it wasn’t related to fitness well, Arnie gave a disclaimer. Schwarzenegger said the segment was not an ad. “We want to give you direct access to many brilliant minds,”?he wrote.
However, Arnie acknowledged the questions readers have asked about the recent ad segments getting featured in the newsletter. “Here?s our ad policy… No BS. Full transparency. Organic partnerships only. And we?ll always get discounts for the village,” the former Mr. Universe wrote. He then elaborated on the partnership with one of the newsletter sponsors.
Recently, Arnie partnered with meat delivery company Butcher Box to keep his newsletter free. “We want to grow from a corner into the biggest positive force on the internet. That isn?t cheap,” he wrote in Arnold’s Pump Club. However, it is not surprising that Schwarzenegger’s newsletter needs sponsors to run and grow as he is using cutting-edge tech to serve his over 400,000 readers.
The Terminator actor has enlisted the help of a machine
Since the 76-year-old has a busy schedule, he couldn’t be part of recording the podcast version of the newsletter. However, since fans would love to listen to Schwarzenegger narrating the podcast, he trained an AI voice model. Schwarzenegger announced the news in a Twitter thread.

“I trained a machine with about every little detail of my voice,”?said the bodybuilding icon. The former Mr. Olympia named the AI after his iconic Terminator character, T-800.?“The Arnold?s Pump Club-800 is a good machine I trained to help humanity,” he wrote. Hence, it’s no surprise that Arnie has to make compromises to keep Arnonld Pump Club free for everyone.
