Arnold Schwarzenegger always has some important insights not only on fitness but also on mental health in his newsletters. It is not always him talking about the best diet or the best fitness practices, but sometimes about the heart-to-heart explanation he gives about life in general. This time, Arnie has decided to do exactly that and give people an insight into how to stay positive amidst all the negativity in the world.

Arnie had some Monday motivation tips for his ‘village’ giving them an important perspective about living life.

Arnie started the newsletter by saying that he had been reading through emails and noticed the fact that there was one question that kept coming up over and over. The question was how does he stay positive when so many negative things were happening around the world.

Apparently, this was simpler than most people thought. When the news makes him angry, Arnie asks himself, “Can I do something about this?” And that is when he decides that if he can, he will. The Austrian Oak further said that this is one of the reasons that he decided to donate millions of dollars for hospital equipment for doctors, as well as polling stations for voters and housing for veterans, and much more in the last few years.

The Austrian Oak also had a very simple solution for coping when he couldn’t control something. He just stopped complaining about it. The bodybuilding champion emphasized the importance of learning to let it go. According to the Austrian Oak, sympathy was good, but worrying about everything in the world only took away one’s energy unnecessarily. When this happens, “you’re taking yourself away from the ways that you could actually be useful and helpful,” Schwarzenegger explained.

The man who always cares about his village therefore wanted them to be strong and resilient but also not strain themselves emotionally about things that they cannot control. “Be curious. Look for the moments where you can be useful. Save your time and energy for that. And don’t waste a single minute worrying about the moments when you’re powerless to do anything. That is real power,” Arnie explained.
