Due to his venture into the realm of politics, seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger has made quite a few friends as well as rivals. Serving as the 38th Governor of California starting in 2003, Schwarzenegger was unable to run for a third term due to term limits imposed by the Constitution of California. While Schwarzenegger recently said his goodbyes to a dear friend from the political arena, he seems to have bad blood with former POTUS Donald Trump.

In a recent episode of the talk show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live,’ Schwarzenegger gave his take on Donald Trump’s claims of weighing around 215 lbs. Being an expert when it comes to body transformations and fitness, the bodybuilding legend gave a hilarious response to Trump’s claims. However, Trump is not the person to take an insult easily. Moments after this, he took it to his own social media platform ‘Truth Social’ where he wrote a post bashing the late-night TV shows, referring to the people involved in them as ‘talentless.’

Amidst many other things that were discussed in the recent episode of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live,’ Schwarzenegger was asked about his views on whether or not Trump can actually be around 215 lbs, as he claims he is. While Schwarzenegger responded by saying he is not sure if it’s true or not, he added, “If you would ask me what should you do for fitness. I would just say run around yourself three times. You’re gonna be in great great shape.”

Just a short while after this, Donald Trump posted on his account after the writer’s strike that has been going on in America since May 2nd was announced. Mocking the late-night talk shows in his social media post, Trump wrote, “Now that the “strike” is over, the talentless, low-rated CREEPS of Late Night Television are back. I knew there was a reason I didn’t want to see it settled – True LOSERS!!!”

What might come as a surprise to many is the simple fact that Schwarzenegger and Trump have not always had a bad relationship. In fact, the duo hung out together several times and were even good friends before their relationship deteriorated. In an interview that Schwarzenegger gave back in 2019, he remembered his bond with Trump as he shared insights on his friendship with him.

Arnold opened up about a lesser-known side of Donald Trump

Arnold recalled his past experiences with Trump as a friend. He revealed that the duo would often go out to attend wrestling matches. Schwarzenegger disclosed that Trump used to get fascinated when he saw wrestlers performing physical stunts.

‘The Austrian Oak’ stated, “The way he admired people with bodies, and the way they would jump around in the ring, and to perform physical stunts and stuff like that—he had great admiration for that. And the showmanship—he had great admiration for that.”
